Precision Link Conveyor

Product catalog summary
Overview: The LFA Precision Conveyor is a high-speed linear transfer system designed for precision and reliability. It features a continuous chain made from precise aluminum links, guided vertically by cam followers and horizontally by ball bearings. The system is adaptable to various configurations and customer requirements.
Design and Operation: The conveyor's main frame is constructed from aluminum profiles and steel plates, allowing for flexible mounting options. It is driven by a hardened step wheel and guided by a preloaded 180° cam to eliminate backlash. The linear stroke is determined by the step wheel's diameter, with options for one, two, or three link movements per cycle.
Assembly Configurations: The system supports both vertical and horizontal assembly configurations, optimizing space and functionality. The free drive shaft can synchronize with other units, and the aluminum profile system facilitates quick mounting of external stations.
Customization Options: The conveyor can be customized with different drives, overload protection, and adjustable dwell and index angles. It supports both metric and English measurements and offers various surface finishes, including stainless steel and nickel plating.
Technical Benefits: Known for its high reliability and long lifespan, the LFA Precision Conveyor requires minimal maintenance, with an annual check on chain pre-loading. It is wear-free due to the use of TIC (Motion Index Drives Indexing Controller).
Applications: Suitable for industries such as assembly, medical technology, cosmetics, and electronics, the conveyor supports fast assembly of small parts, transportation of wires, and various manufacturing processes like welding and marking.
Technical Specifications: Detailed dimensions and load tables are provided for different models (LFA080, LFA100, LFA125, LFA150), specifying stroke lengths, stroke times, and weight capacities. Customization is available upon request.

MOTIONINDEX DRIVESPrecision Link Conveyor LFA - Design and modeof operation The main component is a continuous chain manufactured from highly precise aluminum links. Per link four cam followers for the vertical guidance roll by a hardened and fine-milled guide rail. Two ball bearings provide at a hard bar for the horizontal adjustment. The links are connected by bolts and needle bearings. The main frame is made from aluminum profile and steel plates. The conveyor can be mounted at the aluminum profile or at the steel plates. Additional external stations can also be fixed there. The chain is moved...

The sky is the limit for the Motion Index Drives product line. Flexible, made-to-order custom designs which are not featured in the product catalog have long been embedded in our corporate philosophy. Our drives meet the highest standards regarding quality and precision. Our cams are manufactured in a different manner with regards to our competition, therefore it is often possible to use smaller rotary table sizes supplied by Motion Index Drives instead of larger ones supplied by our competitors. Our extensive design expertise enables us to meet customer requirements down to the last detail....
