LUXOR Energy-efficient drying systems

Product catalog summary
Overview
The document discusses the LUXOR central drying systems by motan, focusing on energy-efficient drying solutions for plastics. The systems are designed to be economical, reliable, and meet high-quality manufacturing standards.

Key Technologies
  • ETA plus® Technology: This patented technology combines temperature adaptation, airflow control, and heat recovery to achieve energy savings of up to 64% compared to conventional systems. It automatically adjusts to material throughput and inlet temperature variations.
  • Desiccant Beds: The systems use stationary desiccant beds with process heaters for efficient drying, reducing heat loss and ensuring precise temperature control.

Product Range
  • LUXOR A Series: Advanced models with drying capacities from 80 to 2400 m³/h, compatible with LUXORBIN A drying bins (15 to 2400 litres).
  • LUXOR S Series: Standard models with dry-air capacities from 250 to 900 m³/h, compatible with LUXORBIN S drying bins (100 to 600 litres).
  • Drying Bins: Available in sizes from 15 to 2400 litres, made of stainless steel, insulated, with individual heating and temperature control.

Energy Efficiency
The ETA plus® technology optimizes energy use by adapting airflow and drying temperature based on material throughput. Heat recovery systems further reduce energy consumption by pre-heating process air with exhaust air.

Control Systems
LUXOR systems feature modern PLC-supported controls with options for standalone or networked operation via motan’s Ethernet CONTROLnet. The LUXORnet control offers user-friendly operation with a touch screen, recipe management, and process monitoring.

Performance Data
The document provides detailed performance data for various materials, including drying temperatures, residence times, and throughput rates for different bin sizes.

Technical Specifications
Technical data for dry air generators and drying bins are provided, including dimensions, power supply, and connected load. Extra-large drying bins and additional options are available upon request.

Conclusion
The LUXOR drying systems by motan offer advanced, energy-efficient solutions for plastic drying, with flexible configurations and comprehensive control options to meet diverse industrial needs.

LUXOR central drying systems The LUXOR series dryers are equipped with either two or three fully insulated stationary desiccant beds. During regeneration, the air used to heat up the desiccant beds is pre-heated via a heat exchanger and so saves energy. Closed-loop after-cooling of the desiccant bed with dry air ensures a continuously low dew-point and maximum drying performance. Tap the full energy-saving potential of ETA plus® ETA plus® technology stands for innovative and energy-efficient drying technology which takes three individual factors into consideration: • The airflow control adapts...
