Product catalog summary
Product Description: INDUX is a high-quality ceramic bonded clay graphite crucible range designed for induction melting applications. It features controlled graphite alignment and optimized electrical properties for specific frequency ranges.
Applications: INDUX crucibles are used in medium frequency induction furnaces. INDUX L is for 1-2 kHz, and INDUX H is for 3 kHz and above. They are typically used for melting copper alloys and precious metals.
Metal Casting Temperature: 850 - 1600°C (1562 - 2912°F).
Performance Characteristics: The crucibles offer controlled electrical resistivity, good thermal conductivity, resistance to chemical corrosion, and high refractoriness.
Identification: INDUX crucibles are black and use the suffix INDL or INDH to denote type.
Pattern Range: Available in A-shapes, F-shapes (bilge), and E-shape cylinders. Contact Morganite for specific recommendations.
Quality Standards: Manufactured from premium grade raw materials to ISO9000:2000 standards.
Charging Procedure: Follow specified preheat procedures. Charge light scrap first, use tongs for ingots, and add flux only when metal is molten.
Preheating/First Use: Procedures vary by furnace type and frequency. For 3 kHz, preheat empty; for 1 kHz, preheat with a charge. Tilting furnaces require careful preheating to avoid thermal shock.
Installation: A-shape and F-shape crucibles should be supported on a refractory pedestal. Cylindrical crucibles require a protective layer of refractory material.
Cleaning and Safety: Clean crucibles between melts while red hot. Wear proper safety clothing and ensure no moisture enters the melt. Store crucibles properly and check for damage before use.
Crucible Care: Add flux only after metal is molten, avoid cold air ingress, and ensure proper handling and storage to prevent damage.

INSTALLATION CLEANINGOUT > A-shape and F-shape (bilge) crucibles are used free standing ininduction push-up or drop-coil lift out furnaces. They should be supported fully on the base by a suitable refractory pedestal and must be installed centrally within the coil in order to prevent uneven heating. A thin layer of coke dust or other carbonaceous material should be sprinkled on to the stand or pedestal to prevent the crucible sticking to it.INDUX Cylindrical crucibles are installed in tilting furnaces with aprotective layer of back-up material, which should be refractory in composition (e.g....
