Principle of Operation: Flexar® smart guided wave radar sensors utilize Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) to measure process levels. Radar pulses are directed to the material surface via a wave guide, and the time-of-flight of these pulses is used to determine material levels.
Features & Advantages: Flexar® sensors are versatile, operating in temperatures up to 392°F (200°C) and suitable for materials with varying bulk densities and dielectric constants. They are effective in dusty environments and provide real-time level measurements with no moving parts, ensuring long operational life.
Practical Applications: These sensors are ideal for instantaneous level measurement in dusty storage conditions and are suitable for a wide range of materials including grains, chemicals, and liquids. They are available in different models and configurations to suit various applications.
Options: Flexar® offers models with Smart RS-485, analog outputs, and combinations thereof. They support different power options and probe variations, and are available for both ordinary and hazardous locations.
Specifications: The sensors operate with power requirements of 100-240VAC or 24VAC/VDC, and can measure ranges up to 200 feet for liquids. They have high accuracy and repeatability, with approvals for both ordinary and hazardous locations.
Ordering Information: Customers can select from various electronics types, outputs, probe types, approvals, operating voltages, and probe connections. Accessories and specific configurations are available upon consultation.
