The Moflash Intrinsically Safe IS-B Series is a reliable signalling solution for hazardous environments, approved for explosive atmospheres in both Group I (mining) and Group II (above ground) applications. Designed to meet strict safety standards, it provides a visual warning where traditional electrical equipment cannot be used safely. Fully certified for areas with flammable gases, dust, or vapours, the IS-B Series ensures safety and compliance with international standards. Its Group I approval suits underground mining and methane or coal dust environments, while Group II approval makes it ideal for above-ground industrial sectors like oil, gas, and chemical plants. The IS-B Series features nine SMT LEDs and offers two modes: flashing (60 FPM) and static, selectable via an internal DIP switch. For safety and compliance, the units must be powered through a suitably rated and approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator. IS-B System Installation The IS Beacons must be installed in accordance with the latest IEC & EN 60079-0, IEC & EN 60079-11 standards or equivalent IEC standards, with consideration for any local installation requirements, and should only be carried out by appropriately competent and qualified personnel.
