Rivet fasteners

Product catalog summary
Installation of Rivet Hinge Fasteners
Fixing with Nail Rivets:
  1. Cut the belt at a right angle and select a fastener 20 to 50 mm smaller than the belt. Position the fastener on the belt, insert the assembly pin, and secure the fastener using a hammer until it is firmly attached.
  2. Place a soft piece of wood under the belt for easier assembly. Ensure the fastener is fully abutted. Fix the fastener with a rivet at each end, then secure with a central rivet. Insert intermediary rivets from the outside to the inside.
  3. Turn over the belt end and replace the wood with a flat, thick piece of steel. Trim the rivets close to the fastener. Begin riveting with soft hammering around the rivets to embed the metal into the fastener holes, then firmly hammer the fastener sides.
  4. Trim the angle with a knife, join the fasteners, and insert the hinge into the fastener. For a rigid pin, bend the ends.
Required Tools:
  • T-square
  • Ruler for straight cuts
  • Utility knife
  • Belt marking pin
  • Callipers for measuring belt thickness
  • Rivet hammer
  • Rivet breaker and hand tongs
Installation of MINET-NIEKA Fasteners
Fixing of Rivets on Plastic Strip:
  1. Align the strip on the fastener with rivets facing the holding holes. Partially insert each rivet with a hammer, then fully insert them close to the strip.
  2. Remove the plastic strip using pincers, turning the ends parallel to the strip, and complete the rivet insertion.
  3. Turn over the belt end, replace the wood with a flat, thick piece of steel, and trim the rivets near the fastener. Start riveting with soft hammering around the rivets to embed the metal into the fastener holes, then firmly hammer the fastener sides.
  4. Trim the angle with a knife, join the fasteners, and insert the hinge into the fastener. For a rigid pin, bend the ends.

Needed tooling: - T-square - Ruler, use for straight cut - Utility knife - Belt marking pin - Callipers to measure belt thickness - Rivet hammer - Rivet breaker and hand tongs Fixing with nail rivets : > 1.) Cut the belt at a right angle and choose a fastener between 20 and 50 mm smaller than the belt. Put the fastener in place on the belt and place the assembly pin, and close the fastener by using of a hammer, until the fastener holds on the belt firmly. > 2.) Place a soft piece of wood and if necessary fix the belt on the wood to make the assembly easier. Check the fastener is taken completely to the abutment.
