Logic flexibility, based on C/C++ running on Linux, is now limitless compared to traditional PLC systems. In addition, each component in the control and I/O network can provide local web browser based diagnostics for fast debug and validation. The RMU redefines with simplicity, open and distributed control architectures for equipment and process automation. With large numbers of on-board I/O and expandability over Ethernet, the RMU is a robust and rugged system that can be used for factory automation control, data acquisition, and process monitoring. Hardware Options Open Control Architecture The RMU core resides in a 4 x 4 x 2.5” space and consists of the power supply, CPU and peripherals. The unit is then expanded with up to 4 I/O cards, each adding 0.6” of width. The package is completely factory configured, so you need only 1 part number to purchase.
