MSA Chin-Type Gas Mask for Phosphine/Ammonia/Chlorine The Chin-Type Gas Mask provides respiratory protection against particulates, vapors, and gases by means of a lightweight replaceable canister. The full facepiece and round plastic canister are designed to permit downward head movement. The MSA PH/AM/CL/P100 Gas Mask Canister protects against phosphine, ammonia, and chlorine. Its P100 Particulate Filter (99.97% filter efficiency level) is effective against all particulate aerosols. The gas mask assembly has the following Maximum Use Conditions: Routine Use: 50 times the Permissible Exposure Level – Do Not Exceed the Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) concentration. Escape: Contaminant concentrations up to 1500 parts per million (ppm) phosphine, 5000 ppm ammonia, or 5000 ppm chlorine, providing there is sufficient oxygen (19.5 percent by volume) to support life. Advantage® 3100/ Ultravue®/ Ultra Elite® Facepieces Whether you choose the Advantage 3100, Ultravue, or Ultra Elite facepiece, all three are available in three sizes to accommodate a wide range of users. The Advantage 3100 facepiece has a silicone rubber facepiece, while the Ultravue and Ultra Elite facepieces are available in a choice of silicone or Hycar rubber. All have a scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens that provides a wide field of vision. Optional lens cover accessories provide even greater scratch resistance. All three facepieces feature a nosecup that helps to reduce lens fogging in low temperatures or high-humidity conditions.

This shifts the weight of the canister to the hip, providing greater comfort for some wearers.
