Product catalog summary
Overview: The document details the specifications and features of the Dynasty 400 and 800 welding machines by Miller Electric Mfg. Co., designed for industrial applications such as precision and heavy fabrication, and aerospace.
Specifications: The Dynasty 400 and 800 models support TIG, Pulsed TIG, Stick, and Air Carbon Arc welding processes. They operate on input power from 208 to 575 V, supporting both 3-phase and 1-phase power. The 400 model has an amperage range of 3–400 A, while the 800 model ranges from 5–800 A. The 400 model's rated output is 300 A at 32 V with a 60% duty cycle, and the 800 model's is 600 A at 44 V with a 60% duty cycle.
Key Features: Features include Wind Tunnel Technology™ for component protection, Fan-On-Demand™ for noise and energy reduction, and Lift-Arc™ for arc initiation. The Blue Lightning™ HF arc starter ensures consistent arc starts. The machines also offer program memory and auto-postflow for tungsten shielding.
AC/DC Stick and TIG Features: Includes DIG control for arc characteristics, Hot Start™ for arc initiation, and AC frequency control for stability. AC TIG features include amplitude control, balance control, and frequency control. DC TIG features provide smooth arcs and pulsing for stability and reduced heat input.
Performance Data: Duty cycles for both models under different power inputs and material thickness ranges for AC and DC TIG are outlined, along with maximum stick electrode diameters and carbon arc gouging capabilities.
Control Panel and User Interface: The control panel includes settings for tungsten size, remote trigger, waveforms, and control parameters. The user menu allows memory switching, voltmeter and ammeter displays, and process selection. High-speed pulsed TIG controls enhance arc stability and travel speeds.
Accessories and Packages: Lists torch kits and accessories compatible with the Dynasty models, including water-cooled torch kits and genuine Miller® accessories.
Dynasty TIGRunner® Systems: Available for both 400 and 800 models, featuring Auto-Line™ technology for voltage flexibility. Water-cooled packages include machine, cart, cooler, torch kit, and remote control.
Remote Controls: Options include wireless foot and hand controls, as well as fingertip and foot pedal controls with 14-pin connections.
Procedures: Instructions for building a water-cooled package by selecting stock numbers for each component.
Standards and Recommendations: Use low-conductivity TIG coolant to prevent freezing and boiling. An automation interface with a 28-pin receptacle is available for equipment integration.
Accessories: Includes Runner™ Cart for power sources and memory cards for automation and software updates.
Ordering Information: Provides stock numbers and descriptions for each product, with recommendations for compatible components.

Balance control provides adjustable oxide removal which is essential for creating the highest quality aluminum welds. These models provide extended ranges. Frequency controls the width of the arc cone and can improve directional control of the arc. Allows for any input voltage hookup (208–575 V) with no manual linking, providing convenience in any job setting. Ideal solution for dirty or unreliable power. Meter calibration allows digital meters to be calibrated for certification. Cooler Power Supply (CPS) is an integrated 120-volt dedicated-use receptacle for the Coolmate™ 3.5. Wind Tunnel Technology™ protects internal electrical components from airborne contaminants, extending the product life. Fan-On-Demand™ power source cooling system operates only when needed, reducing noise, energy use and the amount of contaminants pulled though the machine. Dynasty 400 machine only Lift-Arc™ provides AC or DC arc initiation without the use of high frequency. Blue Lightning™ high-frequency (HF) arc starter for non-contact arc initiation. Provides more consistent arc starts and greater reliability compared to traditional HF arc starters. Program memory features nine independent program memories that maintain/save your parameters. Dynasty 400 Wireless Complete AC/DC Stick Features DIG control allows the arc characteristics to be changed for specific applications and electrodes. Lower the DIG setting for smooth running electrodes like E7018 and increase the DIG setting for stiffer, more penetrating electrodes like E6010. Hot Start™ adaptive control provides positive arc starts without sticking. AC frequency control adds additional stability when stick welding in AC for smoother welds. Auto-postflow adjusts the length of postflow time based on the amperage setting, shielding your tungsten and eliminating the need to set the postflow time. Advanced squarewave, fast freezing puddle, deep penetration and fast travel speeds. Soft squarewave for a soft buttery arc with maximum puddle control and good wetting action. Sine wave for customers that like a traditional arc. Quiet with good wetting. Triangular wave reduces the heat input and is good on thin aluminum. Fast travel speeds. DC TIG Features Exceptionally smooth and precise arc for welding exotic materials. Pulse. Pulsing can increase puddle agitation, arc stability and travel speeds while reducing heat input and distortion. These models provide extended ranges. Power source is warranted for three years, parts and labor. Equipment Sales US and Canada MillerWelds.com An ITW Welding Company 1635 West Spencer Street P.O.
