Auto-Axcess® Systems

Product catalog summary
Overview
Miller's patented technology provides flexibility in input voltage (208 – 575 V) without manual linking, ensuring consistent output despite fluctuating primary lines. The Fan-On-Demand™ system operates only when necessary, efficiently cooling internal components. The system includes 1/4-turn steel connectors for quick installation and a 115 VAC duplex receptacle offering 10 A circuit-breaker-protected auxiliary power.
Specifications
The Auto-Axcess™ Systems are software-driven, multi-MIG® process platforms designed for automated MIG welding, supporting processes like Accu-Pulse® MIG, Pulsed MIG, and optional RMD®. They are suitable for applications in construction equipment and automotive components. Rated outputs vary by model: 300 A at 29 VDC (60% Duty Cycle) for the 300 model, 450 A at 36.5 VDC (100% Duty Cycle) for the 450 model, and 675 A at 38 VDC (100% Duty Cycle) for the 675 model.
Features and Benefits
The systems offer Multi-MIG® capability, SureStart™ for consistent arc starts, and Arc Control for customizing weld programs. Remote/trigger program select allows easy switching between up to 8 programs. Optional software like Accu-Speed and RMD enhances welding process capabilities.
Insight™ Core
Insight Core is an internet-based industrial welding information management solution that provides decision-ready information to improve competitiveness and profitability. It measures key indicators such as arc-on time, wire deposition, and weld quality, aiding in cost management and productivity improvement.
Welding Processes
The document details various welding processes including Accu-Pulse®, Accu-Curve™, and Accu-Speed™, each offering unique benefits like better puddle control, higher travel speeds, and suitability for automated applications. The RMD® process is noted for handling thin materials and reducing spatter.
Control Panels and Capabilities
The control panels feature functions such as voltage/arc adjust display, program selection, and wire speed/amperage display. The Auto-CAL feature allows automatic calibration with robots, and remote program select enables easy switching between welding programs.
Installation and Compatibility
The document provides guidance on typical installation setups for robotic/automation pulsed MIG or conventional MIG, emphasizing the importance of using compatible components and highlighting the benefits of digital control technology in the Auto-Axcess™ platform.
Wire Drive Motor Assembly
The AA-40GB wire drive motor assembly is an enhanced version of the AA-40G, featuring Over Current Protection (OCP) to prevent motor damage and reduce downtime. It includes a 50-foot volt-sense cable but requires separate orders for drive rolls and motor control cables. Left- and right-hand drives are determined by the orientation of the wire feed gun outlet.
Auto-Axcess Models
The document details three models: Auto-Axcess 300, 450, and 675, each with specific rated outputs, voltage, and amperage ranges. The models vary in dimensions and weight, with the 675 being the largest and heaviest.
Consulting Services
Factory-trained technical support is available for complex applications at a flat rate, with rates potentially higher for short-notice scheduling.
File Management Software
Axcess File Management software allows remote control of Axcess systems via a PC or Palm handheld, enabling file transfer, system configuration, and program adjustments.
Drive Roll Kits and Guides
Various drive roll kits are available based on wire size and type, including options for hard wire, soft wire, aluminum, and cored wires. Nylon wire guides are recommended for aluminum wire feeding.
Accessories and Options
The document lists numerous accessories, including internal wiring kits, receptacle/adapter kits, smart adapters, and coolant systems. Specific kits are available for different robotic systems like Fanuc, ABB, and Motoman.
Ordering Information
Detailed ordering information is provided for Auto-Axcess models and accessories, including optional software-based welding processes like Accu-Speed and RMD.
