General Characteristics:
The MP420 series and its derivatives are approved by ASE and have a protection degree of IP67, class II. They feature micro-switching with a contact gap of 0.4 mm and comply with EN61058 standards. The switches are designed for frequent functioning (50E3) and have a mechanical life of 50 million operations. The snap-action mechanism includes a stainless steel traction spring and beryllium copper contact leaf with self-cleaning contacts. Dimensions follow DIN 41 635, B-form, and actuators are made of stainless steel.
Product Description:
The MP420 is a sealed sub-miniature microswitch with a simple snap-action changeover mechanism. It is connected via a cable directly overmoulded into the housing. The isolating material is PVC RXL155, and the housing is made of PBT-ASA reinforced with glass fiber, auto-extinguishing according to UL94V-O standards.
Connections:
Connections can be made by cables or free wires, with options for standard or side outlets. The cable sheath is PVC, suitable for temperatures from -20°C to +70°C, while free wires are RXL155, suitable for -55°C to +155°C.
Reference Codes and Specifications:
Different models (MP430, MP440, MP450) have varying conductor sections and contact materials. Ag contacts support 2A at 250VAC, while gold-plated contacts support 0.1A at 24VAC/DC. The MP420 variant with a conductor section of 0.50 mm2 has been cancelled due to size constraints.
Actuating Force and Movement:
The document provides detailed specifications on actuating force, release force, free position, operating position, over-travel, and differential movement for various models, ensuring precise application requirements are met.
