MICROSWITCHES MP90

Product catalog summary
General Characteristics
The MP90 series microswitches are designed for snap-action changeovers with simple switching action. They have a switching rating of 10A at 400VAC and are protected by a housing with an IP67 rating, although the terminals are rated IP00. The switches are compliant with EN61058-1:92 + A1:93 standards and have a mechanical life of 50 million operations. The snap-action mechanism uses a beryllium copper leaf spring with self-cleaning contacts, and the actuators are made of stainless steel.
Specifications
The microswitches feature a distance between contacts of 0.5 mm and are designed for frequent functioning at 50 E3. The housing is made from PA6T/X reinforced with glass fiber, which is auto-extinguishing according to UL94V-O standards. The certified temperature range is from -40°C to +130°C, with the membrane made from fluorsilicone rubber MFQ, capable of withstanding temperatures from -40°C to +175°C.
Installation and Fixing
For installation, the tightening torque for fixing screws varies by screw size: M3 requires 0.5 Nm, M3.5 requires 0.8 Nm, and M4 requires 1.2 Nm. An insulating plate must be used between the microswitch with protruding terminals and a metal fixing surface to prevent contact.
Actuating and Release Forces
The document provides detailed specifications for various models within the MP90 series, including actuating force, release force, free position, operating position, over-travel, and differential movement. These parameters are crucial for ensuring the correct application and performance of the microswitches.
