Introduction

The MDM490 employs a piezoresistive differential pressure sensor as its sensing element. Silicon oil is used between the die and diaphragms to transfer pressure to the die, which is then converted into an electrical signal. This transmitter is suitable for differential pressure measurement in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power stations, and hydrology.

Specifications
  • Measurement ranges vary from 0-35 kPa to 0-3.5 MPa, with corresponding overpressure limits.
  • Maximum static pressure is ≤20MPa.
  • Accuracy ranges from 0.25% to 0.5% FS depending on the pressure range.
  • Thermal error and stability specifications are provided for different pressure ranges.
  • Compensation temperature is 0-50°C, with operational and storage temperature ranges specified.
Electrical Characteristics
  • Power supply options include 2-wire and 3-wire configurations with 15-28VDC.
  • Output signals include 4-20mADC, 0/1-5VDC, and 0-10/20mADC.
  • Response time is ≤1ms, with an insulation resistor of 100MΩ at 50VDC.
Construction Material
  • Housing is made from stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9Ti, diaphragm from stainless steel 316L, and O-ring from Viton.
  • Filled with silicon oil and features a G1/4 female pressure port.
Environmental Conditions
  • Shock effect is ≤1% at 3gRMS, 30-2000Hz, and impact is ≤1% at 100g, 10ms.
  • Designed for a lifetime of 1×108 pressure cycles.
  • Compatible with media that do not react with construction materials.
Order Guide

Includes codes for pressure range, output signal, construction material, and additional options such as plug or cable connection, digital indicators, and intrinsic safety.

Notes
  • Installation of a tri-valve is recommended to protect the transmitter.
  • Pressure ports should be horizontal to minimize installation effects.
  • Static pressure should not exceed 20MPa, and the transmitter should operate within rated pressure ranges.
  • Special requirements can be discussed with the manufacturer.

MICROSGNSOR MDM490 Piezoresistive Differential Pressure Transmitter(V2.0) MICROSGNSOR MDM490 Piezoresistive Differential Pressure Transmitter(V2.0) MDM490 Piezoresistive Differential Pressure Transmitter Features . Full stainless steel construction, compact size, easy installation; • Laser welding, full-sealed construction; protection IP65; * Using piezoresistive differential pressure sensor, 316L isolated diaphragm; • Temperature compensation and aging, stable performance; • Zero and span adjustable outside; • Ex-proof version MDM490 conforms to GB3836.4 Exia II CT6 Ga standard; ex-proof certificate is approved; • Ship-use product conforms to CCS Rules of Classification of Sea-going Steel Ships (2006) ; ship-use certificate is approved; • CE and ROHS certificates Introduction MDM490 uses piezoresistive differential pressure sensor as sensing element. Silicon oil is filled in between die and two diaphragms, when measured differential pressure is added on two diaphragm, the pressure could be transferred onto die through silicon oil. Sensor die connects with amplifier circuit through wires, using semi-conductor's piezoresistive effect, transforming differential pressure signal into electric signal. The whole product is used for differential pressure measurement of petroleum, chemi-industry, power station and hydrology, etc. Specification MICRO SENSOR CO.,LTD
