Contact our applications experts to define the product that will provide the best performance for your application. Short and Long-Wave Pass Filters Our short and long-wave pass filters have a steep transition between the region of transmission and reflection — much steeper than colored glass filters. Both the short and long-wave pass filters have out-of-band rejection OD 3 to X-ray (for LWP) and to 1200nm (for SWP). Typical transmission is 80% for long-wave pass and 65% for short-wave pass filters. These filters are available individually and in sets. Specifications Minimum Active Area 20.2 mm Surface Quality 80-50 scratch-dig; F/F per MIL-F-48616 Diameter 25.4 +0/-0.5 mm Thickness 2.0 to 7.6 mm Angle of Incidence Normal Tav Minimum Average Transmittance Short Wave Pass: 65% Long Wave Pass: 80% Rejection (spectral) Short Wave Pass: 1.2ëc to 1200 nm, 0.1% T or 10-3 Long Wave Pass: X-Ray to 0.85 ëc, 0.1% T or 10-3 Slope 6% where slope%=100% (ë80%Tpk-ë5%Tabs)/ë5%Tabs Effective Index of Refraction ne 1.7 Wavelength Shift with Temperature Short Wave Pass: 0.02 nm/°C Long Wave Pass: 0.025 nm/°C Humidity Per MIL-STD-810E, Method 507.3, Procedure III Modified to 7 cycles Temperature Range -50°C to + 100 °C Cleaning Non-abrasive method, acetone or isopropyl alcohol on lens tissue recommended (see page 622) • Steep transition slope • High rejection/transmission • Excellent temperature stability • Cut-on/Cut-off wavelengths available from 400 nm to 1000 nm • Blocked to X-ray (LWP) and 1200 nm (SWP) Thickness ø 20.2 ø 25.4
