They are particularly useful when different-sized lenses must be interchanged while keeping the optical axis height constant. Model LCM-1 accommodates optics up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) diameter, while Model LCM-2 accepts up to 2 in. (50.8 mm) optics. Both models are oversized to provide easy finger access for inserting and removing optics.
