Rotation can be coarsely aligned using the knurled edge of the rotating platform. Fine adjustment is achieved with the knob. Angular position is indicated on a 360° scale graduated in 2° increments. The adjustment knob can be securely locked by tightening the screw in the end of the knob. These stages feature full ball bearing races for a high load capacity for their size. Each has two counterbored clearance holes on diagonally opposite corners for direct mounting to tables, breadboards, and other stages. Threaded holes on the edge allow vertical mounting — especially useful for holding transmissive optics such as polarizers.
