The Corning double clad Ytterbium doped single mode fiber is manufactured with Corning's outside vapor deposition process which offers consistency. They also have all glass cladding, high reliability, low background loss, high slope efficiency and high numerical aperture. Fibercore's CP1100 Ytterbium doped, cladding-pump laser fiber employs Fibercore's quasi polygonal, sinusoidal fabrication technology. The unique construction of the CP1100 provides greatly improved reliability and power handling capabilities. Also, to enable you to utilize this fiber to its full potential, Newport offers Fibercore's SMM900 dual clad fiber. The NA of the SMM900 multimode core is matched to that of CP1100 and the singlemode NA is 0.19 which also matches the doped core of CP1100. The SMM900 is ideal for the manufacture of WDM devices for pump and signal combination in high power, cladding-pump lasers and amplifiers. Also, available from Fibercore is the DF1500Y Erbium-Ytterbium Co-doped fiber and the DF1000 Neodymium Doped laser fiber. The key features of the DF1500Y are it's exceptionally high ytterbium concentration and it patented, phosphorous-doped core. The ytterbium level creates a very broad and intense pump-band-enabling the use of a wide range of high power pump sources. The phosphate host-glass of the core facilitates efficient energy transfer from the ytterbium ions to the erbium ions to produce the desire output within the 1550nm window. Also, Fibercore's F-EDF erbium doped fibers provide the basic building block to fiber optic amplifiers used in broadband optical networks and CATV applications in the 1550nm fiber optic transmission window. These erbium doped fibers deliver gain efficiencies in excess of 3.5 dB/mW when pumped with a 980nm laser diode. StockerYale's ytterbium doped double clad fiber provides high slope efficiency, high-adhesion low index polymer outer cladding and superior humidity performance. These are ideal for use in moderate power fibers lasers, such as those typically used in laser marking applications. To compliment this fiber we also offer the PD-200 pump delivery fiber from StockerYale. The PD-200 provides a multimode guide for pump delivery with a high NA, low index polymer cladding and superior humidity performance. Newport also offers a range of standard erbium doped fiber from StockerYale. These fibers feature low background loss and excellent uniformity. The EDF-T3 C-band erbium doped fiber provides low splice loss, high strength enhanced overlap integrals and pumping at 980nm and 1480 nm. The EDF-T6 is optimized for use in L-Band EDFAs and provides high erbium peak absorption levels and low background loss. The EDF-T9 C-Band erbium doped fiber provides excellent efficiency, low spice losses and low OH content.
