We offer 12.7 and 25.4 mm sizes. Specifications Material BK 7, grade A, fine annealed optical glass or equivalent Surface Flatness ë/4 at 632.8 nm over the clear aperture Clear Aperture Central diameter, > 85% of dimension Surface Quality 40-20 scratch-dig Beam Deviation 90° ± 30 arc sec Dimensions Tolerance +0/-0.15 mm Chamfers 0.25-0.50 mm face width x 45° ±15° Coating Protection Protected aluminum with black paint overcoat Cleaning Non-abrasive method, acetone or isopropyl alcohol on lens tissue recommended (see page 688) Damage Threshold 100 W/cm2 CW, 10 mJ/cm2 with 10 nsec pulses at 532 nm, typical Ordering Information Model Dimensions, A=B=C (mm) BPP-12.7 12.7 BPP-25.4 25.4 A C B Aluminized Aluminized Solid Glass Retroreflectors • 180° reflection independent of angle of incidence • 2 arc sec accuracy • Image inverted and reversed Sometimes called corner cubes, retroreflectors reflect entering light back 180°, and parallel to the original beam, while both inverting and reversing the image—regardless of its orientation to the beam. This makes retroreflectors valuable for applications requiring an exact 180° reflection without having to precisely orient the prism. Available in 6.35, 12.7, and 25.4 mm sizes.
