These are the same assemblies we use on our Oriel Monochromators and Spectrographs. We offer three types of slits: • Individual Fixed Slits • Multiple Fixed Slit Wheel • Micrometer Driven Variable Slit Assembly Individual Fixed Slits Our precision slits come mounted in a machined slide that fits into the 77394 Fixed Slit Holder. We offer slit widths from 10 ìm to 6.32 mm. Multiple Fixed Slit Wheel The 77269 assembly consists of eight slits mounted on a rotating disc. A manual wheel rotates the disc which has a positive detent for exact repeatability of slit position. Slit widths range from 50 ìm to 3.16 mm. The slit height is adjustable from 1 to 12 mm with a “fishtail slide.” The Multiple Fixed Slit Wheel has a 1.5 Inch Series male flange on one end; the other end has a 0.88 inch (22 mm) diameter extension tube which couples into the 13920 Holder. Micrometer Driven Variable Slit Assembly This slit is continuously adjustable from 4 ìm to 3.0 mm in width by means of a graduated rotary wheel. The slit height is adjustable from 2 to 15 mm. When in the fully closed position, the maximum opening is 4 ìm. Like the Multiple Fixed Slit Wheel, this assembly has a 1.5 inch Series male flange on one side and a 0.88 inch (22 mm) diameter extension tube on the other. It fits in the 13920 Holder. Mounting The 77394 Holder rod mounts any of the individual fixed slits; it includes a 1.5 inch (38 mm) long optical rod.
