It is a low cost, manually operated, 1/8 m spectrograph with superior performance. It’s versatility and performance makes it ideally suited for non-imaging research applications. It’s small size and simple design make it suitable for OEM applications, in custom configurations. New Dual Grating MS125 For those applications requiring superior resolution over a broad spectral range, we offer a dual grating MS125. This new instrument holds two gratings simultaneously. You can manually switch between them. Specifications are still being gathered at the time of this catalog printing. For the latest information, contact a Sales Engineer or refer to our website. Optical Configuration Fig. 1 shows the MS125™’s unusual crossed optical arrangement. A 100° angle separates the input and exit faces. Notice the special ribs, which are cast in position to baffle unwanted light paths and capture stray light reflections. The output is a 1 inch (25.4 mm) flat focal field. INPUT SLIT FLANGE FOR DIODE ARRAY OR CCD Fig. 1 Optical configuration of MS125™ Spectrograph Negligible Stray Light We designed the MS125™ to ensure minimal stray light. The instrument uses baffles to prevent light scatter, and low stray light gratings. Calibrated Micrometer Drive The MS125™ uses a calibrated micrometer drive for wavelength tuning. The micrometer is calibrated to read 1 nm per graduation for a 1200 l/mm grating. Interchangeable Gratings You can easily interchange gratings in the MS125TM, without realigning the instrument.
