Mounts for Beam Probes
- Rod Mount (Model 77612): A simple holder for beam probes that can be adjusted by sliding and securing with a set screw. Compatible with optical rods having a 1/4-20 thread.
- Flange Mounts: Designed to connect beam probes to Oriel 1.5 Inch Series components. Available in fixed and adjustable types, these mounts are ideal for positioning a focusing beam probe at a monochromator entrance.

We offer several mounts to hold the beam probes described on page 260. There are two types of mounts: • 77612 Rod Mount • Fixed and Adjustable Flange Mounts Rod Mount The 77612 is a simple rod mounted holder. Simply slide the beam probe into the best position and secure it with a set screw. It accepts any optical rod with 1/4-20 thread. An optical rod is not included. Flange Mounts for Beam Probes These holders have a 16 mm opening on one end to accept a beam probe and a 1.5 Inch Series female or male-flange on the other. They mate beam probes to Oriel 1.5 Inch Series components or instruments. They are useful for holding a focusing beam probe at the entrance of a monochromator. It joins two Collimating Beam Probes (see page 260) to transfer energy from one bundle to another. Loss of energy occurs due to reflection losses at the bundle face and lens surfaces. Loss also occurs due to minor misalignment.
