The LDS-Vector electronic autocollimator performs high resolution angular measurements for alignment, quality assurance, and metrology applications. Featuring a highly collimated, 670 nm laser diode, the LDS-Vector allows for non-contact measurements over long working distances of up to 20 meters. The use of a visible light laser diode and a large range ocular field minimizes set-up time and prevents from spending hours aligning the instrument. A dual axis analog sensor with a silicon surface provides fast 2 kHz data acquisition, capable of performing vibration analysis and stage settling time measurements with the LDS-Vector at a resolution of 0.1 ìrad. The LDS-1000 electronic controller displays the angular measurements on a 2-line, 20-character display. The controller can store up to 2048 measurement points (extended memory option to 14K available). To reduce noise, digital integration can be set from 0.5 msec–1 sec. The controller supports IEEE-488 and RS-232-C communication for remote operation. Optional analog outputs allow the instrument to provide a feedback signal for higher bandwidth applications. Each autocollimator head is individually tested and includes a detailed calibration certificate. When purchased with the LDS-1000 controller as recommended, calibration data can be loaded using the front panel buttons. • 0.1 ìrad resolution for high resolution angular measurements • 2 kHz sampling frequency allows vibration measurements • Visible laser diode (Class II) and integrated eyepiece with ±15 mrad field of view provide quick and easy alignment • Controller includes RS-232-C, IEEE-488 and analog outputs Applications • Pitch and yaw measurements • Wobble control • Rotation stage accuracy measurements • Settling time and stage damping analysis • Vibration analysis • Concentricity alignments of multi-rotational setups • Rotation axis orthogonality measurements • Repeatability of XY stages • Machine alignments • Surface flatness measurements • Beam set-up and alignment User-friendly LDS-Tools software is included to provide dynamic display of measured values on your PC and enables export of measurement curve data to spreadsheets or other database software.
