The Galilean optical system is antireflection coated with visible MgF2 for maximum transmission. The focus is preadjusted for infinity prior to shipment, but can easily be altered and then recollimated using the technique shown below. An oversized entrance aperture allows for easy alignment. These collimators mount conveniently in our cylindrical laser mounts. Adjust the collimator until the reflected beam observed at A is a minimum diameter.
