LabLegs™ Upgrade Kits
This document provides detailed information on the upgrade options available for LabLegs™ products from Newport, focusing on optical tables and vibration control systems. It covers various components such as honeycomb, granite, and rigid structures, as well as breadboards, grid platforms, isolators, workstations, and isolated platforms.
LabLegs™ products can be upgraded to meet future needs. Non-isolating legs can be upgraded to isolated legs, and isolated legs without leveling can be upgraded to I-2000s. Height, tie-bar, and caster leg upgrades are also available.
All LabLegs™ Series can be upgraded to the I-2000 Stabilizer isolation leg. For the RL or SL Series, the I-2000 top chamber can be used for upgrades. Specific kits include:
- PL-2000 to I-2000 Stabilizer: Use UPPL-2000 Leveling Valve Upgrade Kit
- SL Series/RL Series to I-2000 Stabilizer: Use I-2000-100 (single leg) or I-2000-400 (four legs) Isolated Chamber Kit
LLS (LabLeg™ Spacer) Series upgrade kits allow for isolator height changes while the table remains in place. The tie-bar/caster (-TC version) allows further field upgrades.
Details on specific upgrade kits:
- I-2000 Isolator Upgrades: I-2000-100 and I-2000-400 for SL/RL to I-2000 upgrades
- Height or Tie-bar/caster Upgrades: Various LLS spacers available in different heights, with tie-bar caster systems available as an option
Ensure that any installation requiring separation from the LabLeg™ spacer and the top assembly does not tilt past 30 degrees to prevent oil leakage. All optical benches must be secure on a rigid jack system and fully blocked before attempting any leg removal for retrofit upgrades.
The upgrade options offer lower initial and reconfiguration costs, ease of installation redesign, and flexibility in isolation type and isolator height.
