The 7144 Input Hood is designed to shield an Oriel Detector from high levels of ambient light and to restrict the field of view. It features a male flange with dimensions of 1.5 inches in diameter and 3.9 inches in outer diameter. This hood is essential for limiting the instrument's field of view and protecting the detector from ambient light interference.
These light shields are used to enclose the beam from a light source to a monochromator or spectrograph. Made from black anodized aluminum, they are capable of withstanding the output from 1 kW sources. The shields are available in various sizes and extension ranges:
