The F-FIA Series In-Line Attenuators are configured for dual window use at both 1310 and 1550 nm. Attenuation accuracy is <±0.3 dB for values up to 10 dB, and <±0.5 dB for values 10–20 dB. The one-meter fiber pigtails can be terminated in any one of 5 connector styles. • Compact and rugged adaptor style attenuators • Low return loss • High mode stability • Variety of connector styles Ordering Information Note: Please call Newport for pricing. The F-ADAT Series Adaptor Type Attenuators are optimized for operation at either 1310 or 1550 nm and have a bandwidth of ±40 nm. These compact attenuators have a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other end, enabling them to be placed in the optical path without additional fiber pigtails and connectors. Attenuation accuracy is <±1.0 dB for values less than 10 dB, and <±10% for values greater than 10 dB. These couplers enjoy inherent advantages because there is no deformation in the waveguide cores. Furthermore, since the two optical halves are placed in direct contact with each other these couplers are more resistant to aging and environmental effects. The F-PMC comes in a small, specially designed silicone rubber package that allows low stress contact of the fiber halves over a broad range of temperatures. Several different wavelength versions are available in 1/99, 10/90 or 50/50 coupling ratios. All the couplers have standard 1m pigtails and FC/APC connectors.
