This clever device holds 2.0 inch (50.8 mm) diameter and square filters up to 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) thick, between two collimating, focusing or imaging beam probes (see page 260 for Oriel Beam Probes). The filters are side loaded and popped out by a plunger for quick removal. A cover, locked in place by a thumbscrew, prevents light leakage.
