473 nm and 532 nm for Scientific Applications Excelsior™ Low Power CW Lasers The new Excelsior™ Scientific family of lasers provide a lowcost alternative to power-hungry argon ion lasers and many diode-pumped solid state lasers. These innovative low power CW solid state lasers are available at 473 and 532 nm. They are excellent tools for a variety of research applications because they provide superior optical beam quality, exceptionally low optical noise, and high reliability. Offering the smallest footprint in their class, the Excelsior Scientific 532 and the Excelsior Scientific 473 lasers are stand-alone devices that are easy-to-use and operate. An integrated active light loop guarantees that every Excelsior laser delivers outstanding output power stability over a wide temperature range. Our patented intra-cavity doubling technique generates visible light with high conversion efficiency, which results in lower overall power consumption. Every Excelsior Scientific laser is operated by a stand-alone power supply that accepts input voltages ranging from 110 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The Excelsior 532 line offers a variety of multi-longitudinal mode and single-frequency versions with power levels ranging from 20 to 150 mW. The standard Excelsior 473 laser is offered with 10 mW of output power. Spectra-Physics provides a universal base plate that enables customers to mount the Excelsior laser onto both English and metric optical tables. Every Excelsior Scientific laser is backed by an 18-month, unlimited hour warranty.
