This detector exhibits large, spontaneous electrical polarization effects. Incident radiation alters the polarization which generates the electrical signal. We optimize this detector for our 80007 SiC Source (described on page 145); fine gain adjustments can be made via an internal potentiometer. • Broadest spectral response, 6,000 to 350 cm-1 • Room temperature operation 1000 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 7000 8000 WAVENUMBER (cm-1) NORMALIZED SIGNAL 1.0 0.8 0.6 0.4 0.2 0 1.0 0.8 0.6 0.4 0.2 0 0 0 1000 2000 3000 4000 5000 6000 7000 8000 WAVELENGTH (ìm) 5.0 2.5 1.66 1.25 5.0 2.5 1.66 1.25 80008 DTGS DETECTOR WITH CaF2 BEAM SPLITTER 80008 DTGS DETECTOR WITH KBr BEAM SPLITTER Fig. 1 Spectrum of 1273 K blackbody captured with 80008 DTGS Detector, CaF2 beam splitter was used to acquire the top measurement; a KBr beam splitter was used for the bottom measurement.
