These probes collimate the highly divergent outputs of our large size liquid light guides. You can also use them to collimate the output from our fiber bundles, if you require a large diameter collimated beam (for a collimated beam size of <13 mm, use one of the probes described on page 260). We mounted the lenses in three different flange series housings, to easily mate with our standard products. Four nominal beam sizes are offered: 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 inch. All of them accept the 11 mm OD of our Oriel Fiber Connectors. The Ordering Information Tables list the typical collimated beam sizes as seen in the “collimation zone” (range of distances from the surface of the lens over which the beam size and intensity distribution will be most stable). Beam size ranges are driven by wavelength and source size dependent properties of the optical design. The half angle divergence is a function of the focal length and source size. Focus Adjustment Our beam probes allow collimation adjustment for your particular set-up, by translating the fiber optic. Once in place, the fiber is held securely in position with a set screw. • High throughput design • Convenient selection of beam sizes Ordering Information Beam Probes for Fiber Bundles with NA between 0.2 and 0.27, 350 nm to 2.3 ìm Spectral Range, è1/2 Divergence Range of 0.15° - 0.50° Model Probe Series Typical Beam Size (mm) Typical Collimation Zone (mm) 76590 1.5 Inch 18 - 23 20 - 160 76591 1.5 Inch 27 - 33 50 - 400 76592 2 Inch 36 - 44 100 - 700 76593 3 Inch 53 - 66 150 - 1500 Beam Probes for Fiber Bundles with NA between 0.2 and 0.27, 180 nm to 2.3 ìm Spectral Range, è1/2 Divergence Range of 0.15° - 0.50° Model Probe Series Typical Beam Size (mm) Typical Collimation Zone (mm) 76595 1.5 Inch 18 - 23 25 - 150 76596 1.5 Inch 27 - 33 70 - 350 76597 2 Inch 35 - 45 150 - 650 76598 3 Inch 55 - 65 200 - 1000 Beam Probes for Liquid Light Guides and Fiber Bundles with NA between 0.5 and 0.6, 350 nm to 2.3 ìm Spectral Range, è1/2 Divergence Range of 0.95° - 3.5° Model Probe Series Typical Beam Size (mm) Typical Collimation Zone (mm) 76600 1.5 Inch 22 - 25 25 - 40 76601 1.5 Inch 32 - 34 50 - 95 76602 2 Inch 41 - 45 35 - 80 76603 3 Inch 56 - 60 40 - 200 Beam Probes for Liquid Light Guides and Fiber Bundles with NA between 0.5 and 0.6, 180 nm to 2.3 ìm Spectral Range, è1/2 Divergence Range of 0.95° - 3.5° Model Probe Series Typical Beam Size (mm) Typical Collimation Zone (mm) 76605 1.5 Inch 21 - 29 40 - 50 76606 1.5 Inch 30 - 34 40 - 55 76607 2 Inch 39 - 43 40 - 80 76608 3 Inch 58 - 63 50 - 150 Rod Mounts Model For This Probe Series 76615 1.5 Inch Series 76616 2 Inch Series 76617 3 Inch Series 3.25 (82.5) 3.25 (82.5) 3.25 (82.5) 1.125 (28.6) 1.8 (45.7) 2.8 (71.1) 1.5 INCH 2 INCH 3 INCH FLANGE SERIES PROBES A (C.A.)
