They are produced with ion beam sputtered (IBS) coatings on superpolished fused silica substrates to achieve very low scatter and absorption. These mirrors have reflectivity greater than 99.9%, independent of polarization, at any angle of incidence from 0–45°. • One of the highest performance mirrors available • Ultra high reflectance, R >99.9%, independent of polarization • Superpolished to <1 Å rms microroughness for ultra-low scatter • Ion beam sputtered coatings resist temperature and humidity changes • Visible and NIR broadband coatings Specifications Material UV grade fused silica Surface Flatness S1 ë/10 at 632.8 nm over central 50% of diameter Surface Quality S1 Superpolished <1 Å rms microroughness with 0-0 scratch-dig over central 50% of diameter 20-10 scratch-dig outside central 50% of diameter Clear Aperture central 50% of diameter Diameter Tolerance +0/-0.1 mm Thickness Tolerance ±0.38 mm Wedge 30 ±15 arc min Chamfers 0.50±0.25 mm face width x 45° ± 15° Durability MIL-C-675C, para 4.5.10 and 4.5.12 Damage Threshold 1 kW/cm2 CW, 0.5 J/cm2 with 10 nsec pulses, typical Cleaning The only cleaning operation recommended is the removal of dust with a low pressure filtered dry nitrogen nozzle. Cleaning techniques specifically developed for high performance optics may be used by qualified personnel. 100 ppm performance levels cannot be maintained if the optic is cleaned using standard techniques.
