Breadboard Support Posts
The XP Series Posts are designed to attach directly to Microlock™ Tiedowns in a breadboard, providing a stable method to offset a breadboard from its primary support. These posts are available in heights of 5, 10, 15, and 20 inches (127, 254, 381, 508 mm). Intermediate heights can be achieved using Model P-3, P-5, or P-7 platform posts between the breadboard and the support post.
The models available are:
- XP-5 (M-XP-5): 5 inches (127 mm)
- XP-10 (M-XP-10): 10 inches (254 mm)
- XP-15 (M-XP-15): 15 inches (381 mm)
- XP-20 (M-XP-20): 20 inches (508 mm)
These feet are used to raise a breadboard off a table surface and attach directly to Microlock Tiedowns in the breadboard. They are available in the same heights as the support posts. Microlock Tiedowns provide a versatile and secure attachment of the breadboard to a table, XP Series Support Posts, or any object with 1/4-20 (M6) threaded holes. They offer a vertical adjustment range of at least 1 inch (25 mm) and ensure solid attachment for optimum stability.
The thread dimensions for each model are:
- XP-5 (M-XP-5): Thread A - 1/4-20 (M6), B - 2.00 inches (50.0 mm), H - 5.00 inches (127.0 mm)
- XP-10 (M-XP-10): Thread A - 1/4-20 (M6), B - 2.00 inches (50.0 mm), H - 10.00 inches (254.0 mm)
- XP-15 (M-XP-15): Thread A - 1/4-20 (M6), B - 2.00 inches (50.0 mm), H - 15.00 inches (381.0 mm)
- XP-20 (M-XP-20): Thread A - 1/4-20 (M6), B - 2.00 inches (50.0 mm), H - 20.00 inches (508.0 mm)

(127, 254, 381, and 508 mm) Microlock Tiedowns, optional on breadboards, are a unique Newport innovation that provide versatile and positive attachment of the breadboard directly to a table, XP Series Support Posts, or any other object with 1/4 -20 (M6) threaded holes. The Microlocks provide a vertical adjustment range of at least 1 in. (25 mm), positive locking of the height, and solid attachment to the primary structure of the board for optimum stability. Repositioning the Microlocks and/or adding more to a breadboard can be handled at the time of the breadboard order. Microlock-FT Mounting Feet are available for free-standing applications. These high-loadcapacity feet insert into the Microlocks and prevent the breadboard from scratching or marring the support surface.
