Depending on the model, they are available in travel ranges from 4–80 mm and with axial load capacities from 40–450 N. Model designations correspond to the diameter of the control knob and the travel range. BM micrometers, which mount via their threaded bezel and are held in place with a threaded collar, are the standard choice of actuator on UMR and MVN Series Stages and on SL Series Mirror Mounts.
