Beamsplitters - 1

OPTICAL MIRRORS SPHERICAL AND ASPHERICAL LENSES • S-polarized beams split R/T = 50/50 • BK 7 or UV fused silica substrates Broadband Dielectric Beamsplitters • P-polarized beams split R/T = 30/70 • AR coated back surface eliminates ghosting • Slight wedge virtually eliminates internal fringes Our broadband dielectric beamsplitters are designed to provide general purpose laser beamsplitting and combining for visible through near infrared applications. Each coating is essentially achromatic across a wide spectral band so that a single optic will work for the entire range of a particular tunable laser, for several laser diode wavelengths, or for most visible laser wavelengths. Specifications BK 7, grade A, fine annealed optical glass UV grade fused silica Surface Flatness Specification below at 632.8 nm over the clear aperture Clear Aperture Diameter Tolerance Thickness Tolerance 25.4 mm: 0.25-0.76 mm face width x 45° ±15° 50.8 mm & 76.2 mm: 0.38-1.14 mm face width x 45° ±15° Rs= 50% ±5%, Rp Rs at 45° over the specified wavelength range Multilayer coating, Ravg 0.75% at 45° over the specified wavelength range Non-abrasive method, acetone or isopropyl alcohol on lens tissue recommended (see page 854) Damage Threshold 500 W/cm2 CW, 0.5 J/cm2 with 10 nsec pulses, typical NOTE: S1 and S2 defined in specifications table Coatings Wavelength Range(nm) Coating Code BEAM EXPANDERS OPTICAL WINDOWS & CYLINDRICAL & DIFFRACTION GRATINGS ACHROMATIC LENSES MULTI-ELEMENT OPTICAL ASSEMBLY Ordering Information To order, append the coating code BS.1, BS.2, or BS.3 to the substrate number.
