Automated Ultrafast OPA-TOPAS™ - 1

The TOPAS Advantage • Tunable from 1150–2600 nm • Optional harmonic and frequency-mixing accessories extend tuning range from 189 nm to 20 ìm • Pumped with Spitfire Pro (<35 fs, <40 fs and <120 fs) with up to 3 mJ for highest output power • Computer controlled • Full-automation option • White light seed for enhanced output stability • Multiple TOPAS can be pumped by a single Spitfire Pro amplifier • WinTOPAS software can control up to four TOPAS OPAs The TOPAS™ is a kilohertz ultrafast optical parametric amplifier (OPA). It broadens the wavelength coverage of the Spectra-Physics Spitfire® Pro amplifiers and provides gap free tunability from deep UV to mid-IR. Featuring a complete set of wavelength extension options, the TOPAS allows tuning from 189 nm to 20 ìm. The Spitfire Pro – with its high output energy (up to 3mJ per pulse at 1 kHz), ultrashort pulse duration (as low as 35 fs) and exceptional output quality and stability – is the ideal pump for the TOPAS. These superior output characteristics ensure maximum conversion efficiency for the parametric amplification process, thus producing high energy, neartransform- limited pulses throughout the tuning range. The TOPAS is seeded with white light continuum to ensure the highest output stability. Computer controlled, the TOPAS can be fully automated to allow hands off operation and ease of use. Several TOPAS OPAs can be simultaneously pumped by a single Spitfire Pro amplifier, generating several independently tunable and inherently synchronized ultrafast pulses. TOPAS is an excellent alternative to the manual and flexible Spectra-Physics OPA-800C. Whether an application needs the convenience of the automated, hands-off TOPAS or the flexibility of the OPA-800C, Spectra-Physics offers the right OPA solution.
