Potentially up to 60 % throughput improvement can be achieved as a portion of the backwards emitted radiation is captured to the output. The Oriel Apex Infrared Sources operate our 9 to 24 W infrared elements. These systems are completely contained - all the electronics, infrared source and condensing lens assembly are built into the enclosure. We designed these systems with simplicity and economy in mind. By integrating all the components, we were able to keep costs down and simplify operation, with some compromise in flexibility. No Adjustments Necessary These systems are truly plug-and-play. The electronics are factory pre-set to operate the specified element, so you don't need to adjust the current. You don't even need to align the infrared element. Simply install the element, turn on the power, and begin your work. For those Researchers who wish to retain some flexibility, we also offer systems based on the popular Series Q Housing, which allows you to interchange elements and condensing lens assemblies (see page 104 for information on the Series Q). • New!
