Product Specification 4-Channel Anti-Lock Brake Control with Traction Control (TC) Description The MICO 4-channel ABS controller with Traction Control (TC) enhances the effectiveness of a traditional full power hydraulic brake system by increasing stopping and steering control and preventing wheel lock-up under heavy braking conditions. The TC redirects torque from a spinning wheel to the wheels with better traction preventing excessive wheel speed. The ABS/TC controller interfaces with 4-speed sensors to monitor wheel speed, pressure transducers for diagnostics, and four electrohydraulic ABS valves plus one electrohydraulic pilot valve to control the system brake pressure. The brake control system along with the physical braking system can help vehicle manufacturers meet ECE 324 R13 and European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and are designed to help achieve SIL 2 (Safety Integrity Level 2 according to IEC 61508) and PL-d (Performance Level d per ISO 13849-1) standards. This system is designed to handle 4-channel ABS/TC control. ABS/TC controllers for 6 and 8-channels of hydraulic ABS (HABS) control are also available from MICO. In addition to these basic components, other inputs and outputs can be added to the system. For example: ABS/TC and brake warning indicator lamps can be added to the outputs of the controller. The MICO 4-channel ABS/TC controller is fully compatible to the SAE J1939 CAN communication standard (sub standards: 11, 21, 71, and 73). MICO is a trademark and registered trademark of MICO, Inc.
