Modular design with maintenance components The SwitchGuard is a 420 mA loop-powered microcontrol-ler-based intelligent on/off valve controller. Binary 24 VDCsignal can be used via optional U/I converter. The Switch- Guard operates even at 3.6 mA input signal and communi-cates via HART. The device contains a Local User Interfaceenabling local configuration. A PC with FieldCare software can be connected to the SwitchGuard itself or to the controlloop.The powerful 32-bit microcontroller controls the valve posi- tion.
