The IC-LTM/GTM series of industrial in-line turbine flow meters, produced by icenta Controls in the UK, are engineered for precise volumetric measurement of liquids and gases. These meters are recognized for their high accuracy, reliability, and durable stainless steel construction, making them ideal for diverse industrial applications. They accommodate various line sizes and withstand high pressure and temperature conditions.
The IC-LTM meters are available in sizes from 6 to 150 mm, with flow ranges from 0.028 to 550 m3/hr. They feature a standard 10:1 flow range, extendable to 20:1 for larger sizes. Constructed from stainless steel, they offer excellent corrosion resistance and can operate at temperatures up to 230°C, with an option for up to 350°C. Pressure ratings reach up to 400 bar, with higher options available.
These flow meters are versatile, suitable for sectors such as fuel and oil monitoring, high-pressure water systems, crude oil production, cooling circuits, and marine fuel monitoring. They are also apt for high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
The IC-LTM meters function using a rotor with blades angled to the flow direction. As fluid flows through, it rotates the rotor, and a magnetic pick-up assembly detects this rotation, generating a voltage output proportional to the flow rate.
The meters can be installed compactly or remotely, with various flow instruments and displays available. They offer multiple output options, including pulse and 4-20 mA, and are ATEX rated for hazardous environments.
Flow transmitters are available in battery-powered and powered versions, featuring LCD displays, total/accumulated total/flow rate readings, and alarm set points. They are designed for both field and panel mounting, with explosion-proof options available.
The IC-LTM and IC-GTM meters offer versatile configurations customizable to specific requirements, supporting a range of process connections and bearing types, with options for different operating temperatures and approvals.
The IC-LTM/GTM series provides a reliable solution for accurate flow measurement in various industrial applications, offering flexibility in installation and configuration to meet diverse operational needs.
The linearity specification for pressures applies to pressures exceeding 10 Kg/cm2 for sizes up to 3 inches. At lower pressures, range ability is reduced. Operating flow ranges can be extended to a lower range if the gas density (pressure) is sufficiently high.
To minimize errors due to asymmetric flow conditions, install the flow meter with appropriate upstream and downstream pipe lengths. It can be installed horizontally or vertically with flow rising, and only with a full pipe. Best practice suggests at least 10 diameters of straight pipe run upstream and 5 diameters downstream. Greater lengths may be required near bends, elbows, and valves. A Metri flow straightener can be used if there is insufficient straight pipe run.
Dimensions are provided for flanged and screwed nominal sizes ranging from 6 mm (1/4 inch) to 150 mm (6 inches), with specific lengths (L) and heights (H) detailed for each size.
