Thermal spray equipment and consumables AIR-COOLED SUPPLIES The ARC170AC system has been developed with air-cooled cables for a lighter hand-held pistol weight when spraying at 700A. The use of air cooled cables, as well as some other pistol modifications has reduced the hand held weight by about 2kg - a significant benefit to the spray operators. The patented Synchro-drive system, giving push/pull wire feed, also assists in minimising the weight of the pistol in the hand. The pusher and pistol are driven by one new, powerful brushless AC drive motor for greater reliable operation. The ARC170AC-CL system can spray large diameter wires (1/8" and 3/16") and is the recommended system for large scale, anti-corrosion structures which are relatively simple shapes. The push/pull drive system allows unrivalled wire feed distance of 10m. The system can be further extended by 10m or 15m from the energiser for large site applications. The pistol and drive unit are combined with a 700amp energiser, operating at 100% duty cycle in the harshest environments. The control electronics are housed in a sealed enclosure for further reliable operation. An industrial PLC offers closed-loop control of the current for simple setup and reliability.
