Centrifugal Vertical Pumps

Centrifugal Vertical Pumps

Centrifugal Vertical Pumps

Product catalog summary
General Overview: The document provides detailed specifications and operational guidelines for the V Series vertical centrifugal pumps made from GRAPHILOR® (impregnated graphite). These pumps are designed for handling corrosive fluids and consist of two main assemblies: a hydraulic part made of GRAPHILOR and a metallic assembly with a rotating shaft.
Design and Construction: The pumps feature a vertical shaft design with no tightness seal on the shaft, reducing leakage. The bearing frame supports axial pressures and is lubricated by Tecalemit lubricators. The coupling is standard but can be customized for different motors.
Materials: Components in contact with fluids are made from GRAPHILOR, while the bearing frame is cast iron, and other metallic parts are steel with anti-corrosion paint. Joints are made from anti-acid rubberized asbestos or ethylene-propylene.
Performance and Range: The pump range includes 8 types, accommodating various impeller diameters, supporting flow rates up to 200 m³/hr and dynamic heads over 60 meters. Operating conditions include a maximum temperature of 165°C and a test pressure of 8 bar gauge.
Testing and Documentation: Pumps undergo hydraulic testing at 12 bar gauge. Documentation includes installation, maintenance, and component lists. Additional documents like assembly drawings and test certificates are available upon request.
Motor and Coupling: Standard motors conform to NF standards with specific insulation and protection classes. Custom motor options are available with appropriate flange connections.
Maintenance and Options: Maintenance guidelines include lubrication intervals and optional components like ARMYLOR bellows and GRAPHILOR filters for handling solids.
Ordering Information: To order, specify pump type, impeller diameter, and any optional components. Provide details on the pumped fluid and required performance metrics.
Legal and Contact Information: The document includes legal disclaimers regarding the use and reproduction of the content and provides contact details for LE CARBONE-LORRAINE.

Centrifugal Vertical Pumps-1

Design BRJGHAAaaLEDB T K The coupling V series pumps with vertical shaft comprise two mainparts: Ε The first one consisting of an assembly in impregna-ted graphite (GRAPHILOR (J) is supplied bored and grooved, pro-vided that you accept our standard motor (see chapter "information required to order a pump"). Two plates (T) enable the assembly of the pumps on anadequate frame. The bearing frame (G) holds two opposite conical ballbearings. This design allows absorption of important axial pressures (for example with liquid with a high spe- cific weight).Oil lubrication of the bearing is made by two Tecalemit lubricators. The time between two lubri- cation operations should be moderate e.g. approx. 5000hours. Materials on the shaft. Leakages, theflow rate of which is reduced by countervanes, travel up the shaft, then are collected in the bleedbox(D), pushed back by a deflector(E) and finally driven back to the tank by an adequate piping. > do notinclude any tightness seal ) building the hydraulicpart.Ε The second one consisting of a metallic assemblycomprising the rotating shaft (H), a bearing frame(G) and a coupling (J). All the pieces in contact with the pumped fluid aremade in GRAPHILOR (impregnated graphite resisting to most corrosive fluids). The bearing frame is in cast iron and the other metal- lic parts are in steel. All metallic parts are protected outside by an anti- corrosion paint. The joints are in IT (CAF: rubberised asbestos) anti- acid quality or in ethylene-propylene. The "GRAPHILOR" assembly is supported by tie rodsequipped with spring washers which ensure a constant compression between assembly plates (L) and (K). The front clearance (between the body and the vanes of the impeller) can be adjusted by adding or remo- ving the shims (AA). In opposition to other types of pumps, these SUCTIONCUT aa LEAKS DISCHARGE compressionrings >
