THE LEADING STANDARD IN ENTERPRISE MOBILITY & SHOP FLOOR INTEGRATION DATA SHEET Carrying out an asset inventory in accordance with § 240 HGB (Article 240 of the German Commercial Code) is usually a very complex task. First, comprehensive lists are generated, printed and distributed for the stock-take. Following intensive revision, the inventory management lists are entered back into the backend system as a stock-take result. This process is laborious, time-consuming and often error-prone. MembrainPAS AM makes it possible to perform a paperless asset inventory in accordance with § 240 HGB. • Resource efficient (specialist personnel, time, money) • Real-time visibility of the stock-taking progress • Initial entry, movements and inventory check • Can be used across multiple locations • Flexible connection to a range of backend systems (e.g. SAP R/3, MS Dynamics, Helpline, Remedy AR, etc.) • Flexible connection to commercially available barcode scanners and printers • Supports barcode, RFID or manual input The MembrainPAS AM automated asset inventory is performed using mobile terminals (handheld scanners, smartphones, etc.) and a Windows application (console). The console is configured on the PC of the authorised employee. The existing backend system is connected and used to automatically generate the inventory management lists for the asset inventory. These are transferred to the mobile devices via the network. • The labels are printed directly from the SAP R/3, Helpline, Remedy AR or other backend system • The labelling device can be any standard device • During the stock-take, this barcode is recognised and immediately married up to the asset when applied • The barcode is conveniently scanned, checked and authorised before being entered back into the backend system. The asset master data of the backend system are imported to the PC via a user-friendly, intuitive Windows application (console). This allows the responsible employee to manage and monitor all of the processes easily. The asset inventory lists are downloaded from the backend system. The cost centres responsible for the asset inventory are requested, and an order is generated in the form of a workflow and displayed in the console. The inventory manager then selects an employee to undertake the asset inventory order and distributes suboperations to the various mobile terminals. Dealing with laborious, handwritten lists is no longer necessary. Standard hardware: Windows PC, smartphones and tablets (Android, Windows, iOS, BlackBerry ) handheld (Zebra/Motorola, Intermec, Datalogic, Psion, etc. ), industrial termi

Use of standards The status of the inventory management order is reported back to the inventory manager each time synchronisation occurs. This can cause workflows to change at any time, e.g. the transfer of inventory from other cost centres and the transfer of inventory to other cost centres. Changes to the status of the inventory can also be accepted or rejected within the console. When a stock-take is complete, remote data collection on the entire inventory according to the asset inventory is released to the backend system. No further manual intervention in the backend system is required,...
