Overview

The MT8500 Series Metallurgical Microscopes are versatile, modular, and ergonomic systems designed for reflected light brightfield, darkfield, simple polarization, and transmitted light brightfield microscopy. They feature newly designed Plan EPI BD optics that deliver bright, crisp images with excellent color rendition and a superior flat field of view.

• Eyepieces: Standard Super Widefield 10X, High Eyepoint eyepieces with Field Number (F.N.) 22.
• Viewing Head: Siedentopf type binocular or trinocular heads, inclined at 30°, rotatable 360°, with optional ergonomic tilting binocular head adjustable vertically from 10° to 50°.

35mm Photomicrography Accessories

• T-2 adapter rings for various SLR camera brands (Canon, Olympus, Minolta, Pentax, Nikon, etc.) to attach camera bodies.
• Photo eyepieces with magnifications 2.5X (MA512), 3.3X (MA500), and 5X (MA508) for focusing images onto film plane.
• Camera attachments MA150/50 (straight tube) and MA150/60 (with built-in focusing eyepiece) for mounting cameras to the photo tube.

Photo/Video Attachment

• MA958: Photo/video attachment with sliding 80/20 beam splitter for connecting video or digital cameras when using the MA957 ergonomic tilting head.

The MT8500 series includes models MT8520 (binocular) and MT8530 (trinocular) with standard components as marked.
