Product catalog summary
Overview: This document provides comprehensive technical information on the Gas Pressure Regulator models RSP 254 and RSP 255, covering specifications, installation guidelines, and operational procedures. It is intended for gas consumption facilities and adheres to European directives and standards.
Application and Characteristics: The regulators are designed for systems compliant with DVGW work sheets G 491 and G 600, suitable for various gases as per DVGW work sheets G 260 and G 262. They feature a double-diaphragm system, integral pressure-tight design, and optional integrated safety shut-off valve (SSV).
Technical Data: Operating with a maximum pressure of 16 bar, these regulators are made from aluminum alloys and function in temperatures from -20°C to +60°C. Various actuator models and control devices are specified.
Design and Function: The regulators maintain constant outlet pressure using the pressure gradient between inlet and outlet pressures, featuring a sensitive diaphragm and pneumatic amplifier. The SSV closes gas flow in case of overpressure or shortage.
Installation Guidelines: Preferred installation is horizontal, following specific guidelines for measuring points and flow direction, in compliance with DVGW work sheets and manufacturer instructions.
Setpoint and Response Pressure Tables: Detailed tables provide guidance on selecting appropriate springs and settings based on desired outlet pressure and response characteristics.
Additional Features: Options include fine filters, pneumatic follow-up setpoints, noise reduction, and various coatings. Regulators can have manual or remote SSV release mechanisms and electric position indicators.
Conclusion: The RSP 254 and RSP 255 regulators offer robust solutions for precise gas pressure control in industrial applications, with proper installation and maintenance being crucial for performance and safety.
Specifications: Components include actuators (AS 254 and AS 255) and regulators (R 70-10, R 70-20/2, R 70-100), with detailed dimensions and weights for different nominal widths (DN).
Installation and Maintenance: Horizontal installation in the pipeline is recommended, with flow direction indicated on the housing, referencing DVGW work sheets G 491 and G 600 for further instructions.
Connection Details: Specifications for functional, breather, and measurement lines are provided, with threaded pipe connections conforming to DIN EN ISO 8434-1 standards.
Design and Functionality: Features include a double-diaphragm system and options for pneumatic follow-up setpoints, with explanations of component functions like breather and pressure lines.
Order Information: Detailed order codes and selection criteria are provided for different configurations, including noise reduction and special models.
Expertise and Quality Standards: The document emphasizes decades of expertise and quality standards, highlighting a proven range of feedback controllers.
Production and Customization: Describes efficient production processes for series and individual orders, focusing on customer-specific designs for pressure and vacuum regulators.
Delivery and Response: The company guarantees deadline compliance and fast response times.
Inventory and Training: Maintains a large parts inventory and offers customer-specific training courses.
Modular Design: Features a modular design for optimized spare parts handling.
Manufacturing Origin: All products are made in Germany.
Contact Information: Contact details for MEDENuS Gas-Druckregeltechnik GmbH are provided, including phone, fax, email, and website.

Design and function of the gas pressure regulator (GPR) The gas pressure regulator RSP 254/255 has the function of keeping the outlet pressure of a regulation section downstream of a gas pressure regulator constant within specified limits, independently of changes in the gas tap or inlet pressure. The required auxiliary energy is obtained from the pressure gradient between the inlet pressure and outlet pressure of the gas pressure regulator. No external energy is required. The GPR consists of a regulator with regulating unit, optionally with connected upstream fine filter and bypass valve, and...
