Long-Travel Extensometers - 1

Long-Travel Extensometers Long-Travel Extensometers (MLTE) are designed to be used with Mecmesin OmniTest™ UTMs and MultiTest-dV test systems when running VectorPro™ testing software. They accurately measure strain directly from the test specimen to enable the most accurate calculation of the physical properties of highly extensible materials such as elastomers, semi-rigid plastics and films. The MLTE is an axial contact ‘clip-on’ extensometer, available in 700 mm, 1000 mm, and 1200 mm travel versions. Its adjustable, counter-balanced arm features knife-edge profile jaws, suitable for all specimen types, MLTE 700, MLTE 1000 and MLTE 1200 which may be left on through specimen failure. The MLTE can be configured to suit the needs of your application; enabling variable gauge length and grip depth to accommodate your specimen. It mounts to the base plate of Mecmesin test stands allowing easy fitting of specimens within the extensometer jaws. Precision tensile testing of highly extensible materials such as elastomers, flexible and semi-rigid plastics and films. VectorPro plug-and-play compatibility VectorPro is Mecmesin’s testing software, used for the programming, control and acquisition of data from OmniTest and MultiTest-dV systems. It captures at highspeed the signals from load cells and extensometers, graphically displays stress/strain data and performs common materials testing calculations with the flexible transfer of raw data and results to Excel™ or a PDF™ report.
