When used as a bus/generator coupler, the CB close relay will energise when either the bus and/orthe generator is "dead" AND the enable signal is closed. The synchronising relay will close when the voltage and phase angle has been within the set limits for the set retention time. Agreen lamp will indicate the close command to the breaker. There is lamp indication for reference source present (BUS PWR) and incomer status (GEN PWR). And an additional lamp for the voltage comporator (Voltage OK), green LED is lit when gen. voltage is within voltage set limits. KSQ332EJD1 is only available with separate AC or DC auxiliary supply. Applications KSQ332EJD1 can be used both for single and three phase systems. Any two phases (also neutral) can be used for synchronising as long as it is the same two phases on both side of the breaker. The unit is meant for manual and semi-automatic synchronising only since there is no compensation for the breaker closing time. For automatic synchronising then the KSQ104 "SPOT ON" principle should be used to get compensation for the breaker closing delay.
