Specifications Overview
The Multi-Mag™ Models 285L & 287L are designed for volumetric flow measurement in conduits from 4" to 120" using an insertable electromagnetic sensor. Flow can be displayed in English and Metric units. Specifications may change due to ongoing testing and improvements.

Flow Measurement
The electromagnetic method offers zero stability of ±0.03 ft/s, linearity of 0.3% of range, repeatability of 0.20% of range, and accuracy of ±1% from +0.3 ft/s to +20 ft/s. It also indicates reverse flow.

Materials and Construction
Sensors are made of fiberglass with 316 stainless steel hardware. The compression seal is silicone rubber, and electrodes are carbon. The transmitter enclosure meets NEMA6/IP67 Class I Division II standards.

Applications and Approvals
Approved for potable water applications, certified by the Water Byelaws Scheme (WBS) and NSF 61 for the 3" sensor.

Configuration and Outputs
User-friendly programming with a keypad and three levels of password protection. Provides galvanically isolated analog outputs (0-24mA) and two programmable outputs for real-time and totalizer displays.

Environmental and Electrical Specifications
Requires minimum conductivity of 5 umho/cm. Operates in temperatures from 32° to 110°F at 250 psi and can be submerged. Electronics operate between -4° to 140°F. Electrical connections via 0.5 inch NPT with gasket seal.

Internal Totalizer
6-digit totalizer, programmable reset via external input or keypad, with password protection.

Test Mode and Output Circuit Loop Verification
Test mode drives outputs to programmed value for system testing.
