The Mixflo annular unit is specifically designed for the thermal processing of non-Newtonian products with medium to high viscosity and particulates. It is primarily used in the dairy and food industry for products such as tomato concentrate, fruit purees, orange with fibers, curds and ricotta, mayonnaise, ketchup, and various tomato-based sauces.
The Mixflo annular unit comprises three or four concentric tubes. The diameter of these tubes and the resulting gap are determined by technical staff based on flow rates, viscosity, and particulates in the product. The product flows through the annular channel, where special blades create high turbulence, ensuring uniform temperature distribution. The heat exchanger is designed to be disassembled for inspection on the product side.
