Product catalog summary
General Characteristics
MIKASTRIP heaters are designed for industrial applications, offering advantages such as optimum heat conduction, high electrical insulation, constant efficiency, easy installation, tight manufacturing tolerances, and long operational life. They are produced under strict quality control, certified by ISO 9001:2000, and undergo various electrical tests to ensure compliance with CEI/EN/UL specifications.
Applications
These heaters are suitable for heating flat surfaces by conduction and can be used in extrusion dies, plastic moulds, press moulding plates, vacuum plastic moulding machines, ovens, incubators, boilers, test benches, packing installations, heated desks for food, and electrical cabinets. The operational temperature should not exceed 280°C.
Technical Data
The resistive winding is made of Nickel/Chrome 80/20, ensuring low power density and uniformity. Electrical insulation is made of high purity mica, complying with UL specifications. Power supply options include screw terminals, cables, or ceramic terminal boards. The cover sheaths are made of galvanically treated steel for optimal heat transmission. Optional power supply cables are suitable for high temperatures.
Dimensions and Power
MIKASTRIP heaters can be manufactured from a minimum size of 40 x 20 mm, with no specific maximum length, and a maximum width of 500 mm. They are typically produced with a power density of around 3.5 W/cm². Holes or slots can be added as required.
Power Supply
Heaters can be provided with mono-phase or three-phase power supply options, including star and delta configurations for widths starting from 120 mm. Double mono-phase power supply solutions are also available.
Electrical Connection
Various connection solutions are available, including screw terminals, cables, 2-pole connectors, or terminal boards with metallic covers, ensuring mechanical resistance, easy mounting, and high electrical insulation.
Installation
To prevent distortion stresses during operation, a counter-flange can be used to keep the heater pressed onto the surface. Alternatively, an integral counter-flange can be included in the heater design.
Ordering Information
When ordering a MIKASTRIP heater, specify the length, width, power supply voltage, heating power, power supply interface position, terminal board type, power supply cable length, and the position and diameter of any holes.

ELECTRICAL INSULATION made of hlgh purfty continuous mica with a very low prsence of binder. The matenat compiles to UL (94 V-O) Sp驩cification. 3. POWER SUPPLY provided by screw terminais, cables through the heater thickness (minimum envelope solution) or by ceramic terminal board protected from shocks and tearings applied to the cables by spcial metallic cover 4. COVER SHEATHS made of galvanlcally treated steel. Thanks to rts high thermal conductivrty, it insures the best heat transmission 5. POWER SUPPLY CABLE (optional) suitable for high tempratures, with Internai conductors In nickel-plated copper or in pure nickel (for the most severe applications). Internai insulation made of f驯breglass and Tefton. Extemally protected by a metallic braid sheath. DIMENSIONS MIKASTRIP heaters can be manufactured starting from a minimum dimension of 40 x 20 mm* There are no spcifie limitations for the maximum length. The maximum wKflh Is 500 mm. Diffrent shapes can be manufactured. Some of them are shown in Figure 2 POWER MIKASTRIP heaters are normale manufactured wrth a specify power around 3.5 W/cm . HOLES Holes or slots can be realised onto the heater surface as required. Their dimensions, in any case, shall be coh驩rent with the overaJI dimensions of the heater. POWER SUPPLY MIKASTRIP heaters can be provided with mono-phase power supply and, starting from 120 mm wkfth, also with star and delta three-phase power supply. Solutions with double monophase power supply are possible :oo. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Thanks totbe most advanced technical solutions, to the sͩlection of the most appropriate matriels and to the severe quality control procdures, we can produce heaters that pr驩sent many advantages. In particular it is worth to mention: ■ Optimum heat conduction and uniform heat distribution Hlgh electrlcal Insulation Constant Efficiency during lifetime Easy installation Tight manufactunng tolrances Long Operational Life. The heaters undergo dimensional and electrlcal contrla ail along the production phase, as requested by the company Quality Control System that is cert鴯fied in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 Standard. A 100 % electrlcal acceptance test allows to verify the compliance of each single heater to the requirements speclfied m the applicable CEI/EN/UL Spcification. In particular, the following tests are performed: » Vrification of the earth connecter efficiency ■ Measurement of the Insulation r驩sistance ■ Measurement of the dielectrical rigidity ■ Measurement of the dispersion current - Measurement of the rsistance ohmlc value APPLICATIONS Thse heaters are employed in many applications: they are 騻est suited to heat by conduction fit surfaces. In other cases they are inserted in appropriate slots to heat metallic masses The operational temprature should not exceed 280 °C. Amongst the applications the following can be llsted: Extusion dies Moulds for plastic materials Press moulding plates Vacuum plastic moulding machines Ovens Incubators Boilers Test benches Packing Installations pag. 1/2 MIKASTRIP www.mastersvatt.lt
