Specifications:
The MM42 Digital Multimeter features a 3½ digit LCD with a maximum reading of 1999. It automatically indicates polarity and displays overrange with (1) or (-1). The device has an automatic zero function and a low battery indicator. It measures at a rate of 2.5 times per second and operates in environments from 0°C to 50°C with less than 70% relative humidity. It can be stored at temperatures from -20°C to 60°C with the battery removed. The multimeter is suitable for Category III installations within buildings and offers stated accuracy at 23°C ± 5°C with less than 75% relative humidity. It uses a single 9-volt battery with a typical life of 300 hours.

DC Volts:
Ranges include 2V, 20V, 200V, and 600V with a resolution of 1mV on the 2V range. Accuracy is ± (1.2% rdg + 1 dgt) with an input impedance of 1MΩ and overload protection up to 600VDC or AC rms.

AC Volts:
Ranges are 200V and 600V with a resolution of 100mV on the 200mV range. Accuracy is ± (2.0% rdg + 4 dgts) with an input impedance of 450kΩ and overload protection up to 600V DC or AC rms.

DC Current:
The range is 2A with a resolution of 1mA and accuracy of ± (2.5% rdg + 2 dgts). It is protected by a 2A/600V fast blow ceramic fuse.

Resistance:
Ranges include 200Ω, 2kΩ, 20kΩ, 200kΩ, and 2000kΩ with a resolution of 100mΩ on the 200Ω range. Accuracy varies from ± (1.5% rdg + 3 dgts) on the 200Ω range to ± (1.5% rdg + 1 dgt) on higher ranges. Overload protection is 500V DC or AC rms.

Diode Test:
Test current is 1.0mA ± 0.6mA with an accuracy of ± (3.0% rdg + 1 dgt) and open circuit volts of 3.3V dc typical. Overload protection is 500V DC or AC rms.

Transistor hFE:
Ranges from 0 to 1000hFE with a base current of approximately 10µA dc.

Battery Test:
Ranges are 1.5V and 9V with resolutions of 1mV and 10mV respectively. Accuracy is ± (3.0% rdg + 2 dgts) with loaded currents of 150mA for 1.5V and 6mA for 9V.

Accessories:
Includes a 2A 600V ceramic fuse, replacement leads, fused test leads to GS38 specification, and a soft foam-lined carry case.
